A Place To Be is a conference and retreat centre set on 2.3 hectares in a semi-rural setting conveniently located just 10km from Hawke’s Bay Airport and Napier CDB; 20 minutes from Hastings. The venue offers spacious and flexible meeting rooms as well as accommodation for up to 40 people.  Unplug at Hawke’s Bay’s best kept secret.

As the venue is private and flexible it is used by business, professional and community groups. Individuals are also welcome to experience a unique retreat experience. Our client services team works with you to identify the best space and configuration for your needs; from a spacious, private meeting room with executive suites, to a relaxed creative space with shared accommodation.

The main lodge houses the Pohutukawa Room for meetings, accommodation and indoor outdoor dining areas. Our private dining room seats up to 20; most people dine on the magnificent, sheltered deck year round. Our luxurious yurt is ideal for creative gatherings and glamping in style with 360 views of the grounds, nestled amongst the trees with comfortable casual furnishings.
